One of the most important rules to follow when traveling abroad is that you should try to behave and follow local customs to not give tourists a bad reputation. However, not all tourists stick to this simple rule. After a significant number of incidents, Japanese authorities have started to impose fines on everyone that writes messages along the Tottori coastline, which is famous for its dunes and gets millions of visitors every year. So many tourists have left a "sand graffiti" that authorities imposed fines back in 2008, but this hasn't persuaded tourists from leaving their messages, and although the graffiti isn't permanent, locals don't like the way they look against the natural beauty of the dunes.

An ancient order of monks in Belgium has figured out a medieval beer recipe that hadn't been brewed in over 200 years. The recipe belongs to the 12th century and was found in the Order of Canons Regular of Premontre at Grimbergen Abbey's archives; the recipe was written in Old Dutch, and Latin and the monks had to do extensive translations and research to figure out the process. The recipe had been lost since 1798 when the abbey burned down, but it was saved by some monks who kept it in a hole in a wall. It took the monks four years to start the brewing process; the result is a beer with 10.8% ABV, more than twice regular beer.

There's a multi-park ticket that everyone interested in going to the parks should get. The Summer One World Ticket will grant visitors a significant discount if they want to visit Disney's parks in Florida; it costs $444 and offers access to each one of the four theme parks and two water parks. The ticket doesn't have a limit to the number of days on which you have to use it, and although you can use it on several parks in one day, you can't use it to reenter the parks you have already visited, so the ticket can last you two days or six days depending on your itinerary.
