The CEO of Mozilla talks about Microsoft and Google
Dec 10, 2018
The CEO of Mozilla, Chris Beard, did not like Microsoft's decision to adopt the Chromium engine in its Edge browser. Beard considers that it is a signal of Microsoft's surrender that will serve to make Google more powerful. In an open letter published in the Mozilla blog, Beard warns of a possible monopoly for Google Chrome not because of the percentage of users, where it is practically already a monopoly, but in the monopoly concept accepted by the developers. As it happened 15 years ago, there is a danger that the creators of web pages, when observing the vast majority of users who have Chrome, decide to develop their websites only for Chrome, forgetting about other browsers.
