Smartwatches are increasingly successful in the market

Recent reports show that last year smartwatch sales increased by more than 60% in the US, rising to $5 billion, which is 50% more than the previous year. The buyers are mainly young people between 18 to 34 years old that use them as fitness trackers, or as a notification device. Sales were 88% dominated by Apple, Samsung, and Fitbit in the last year, leaving a small place for other companies such as the Wear OS devices from Google. Experts claim that the smartwatch industry is just starting, and there are way more health and mobility features on the way.
