Mobile search on Google will now show the name and icon of source
May 22, 2019
Mobile searching on Google's mobile browser and the app will have some changes in order to stop fake news from spreading or misleading users. When a user searches on the browser, they will see the name of the source along with the icon above the link that takes it to the webpage, and they'll be able to tell if the source is the original or correct one. The current layout only shows the name in small font below the link, which can be overlooked and could cause reliability problems. The website will almost look like a newsfeed with several posts being more visible. The update will come first to the mobile version and then the desktop version.
