Google might be making its own foldable phone
Mar 15, 2019
Google just filled a patent for a foldable screen, making it seem as they are ready to introduce a device in the current wave of foldable terminals. Although it did not specify if it was a phone, laptop or tablet, users expect it to be a smartphone to join the companies who are going to launch their new foldable devices. In the filing, Google introduced a "Z-Shape" layout, where the screen folds on its own without any damage to the display as the layers are thinner than other foldable displays presented recently. This move comes as a surprise since Google doesn't manufacture devices of their own and are usually sold by a third party.
