2019 Sundance Film Festival will no longer feature its founder

The 2019 Sundance Film Festival first started over 30 years ago at the hands of Robert Redford. The 82-year-old had already confirmed he was retiring from acting on the big screen after his appearance on The Old Man & The Gun. Now the renowned filmmaker has also revealed he has decided to take a backseat role on the management and development of the celebrated film festival. The filmmaker made the announcement after appearing in a press conference during the festival's opening on January 24.
