Google partners with the city of Toronto
Dec 5, 2018
Alphabet, Google's parent company, announced the partnership with the city of Toronto to develop a new and smart neighborhood, but some residents are not entirely happy with the new agreement. With the further co-operation between the city and the company, some concerns are brewing up amongst Toronto locals, concerns about privacy and the real company's motives behind it. The city tweeted about the project called 'Sidewalk Toronto' which focuses on affordable housing, transportation, and sustainability for residents, creating a healthy economy as well. The public is questioning how a company such as Alphabet will collect information, what type of information, and who will receive it.
