General Motors has announced that it will add 1,000 new workers to the workforce of its truck plant in Flint, Michigan, the company added that it would prioritize GM workers who were laid off from other plants. GM has been under fire lately by the federal government and president Trump due to the massive amount of job cuts that the company has announced as it strives to become more profitable and slim down its manufacturing process. The company has disclosed that it intends to cut around 15,000 jobs but is trying to relocate 1,500 hourly employees, so the plant in Flint represents a great opportunity for many of these workers.
