Ford hopes for positive results in the trade talks between the U.S. and China so the company can settle on their next move. Bill Ford Jr., the executive chairman, said at the Detroit Auto Show that the company is expecting a resolution because at the moment they operate with uncertainty. He added that Ford had had meetings with U.S. trade representatives, but the company doesn't know whether there's a trade deal coming between the two countries, but he doesn't want the lawmakers to make rushed decisions. Ford announced a partnership with Volkswagen last year which represents a move to make both companies more competitive in the global market.
