Mar 19, 2019
Ford has announced that it will boost production of its Lincoln Navigator and Expedition SUVs in addition to creating 550 new jobs at its plant in Kentucky where it builds the vehicles. These changes come as the company makes significant changes to stay competitive, including job cuts in salaried positions and different roles, the company expects to cut 5,000 jobs in Germany and an undisclosed number in the UK. Ford's decision to boost production comes as customers move away from classic sedans toward SUVs, and figures show that these two models have had fantastic growth in popularity over the last year and have gained some of the market share from other competitors.
