Companies load their guns to face the streaming market in 2019
Jan 14, 2019
It's no secret that Netflix dominates the streaming industry, but 2019 will be the year that other companies will fight for control of the market. Disney has already started pulling its content from Netflix to start building the catalog for its service called Disney+ which will feature classics, as well as content from names such as Marvel, and Pixar. Apple will launch its service this year which will be pre-installed on its devices and provide free limited content from big names such as Oprah. It's clear that streaming represents a new exciting path to provide programming, but it also represents a significant investment. Netflix paid $100 million to license "Friends" for only a year.
