Lawmakers are forcing GM's CEO to stop down job cuts
Dec 6, 2018
After the announcement of the temporary shut down of factories and cutting 14,000 jobs, U.S. lawmakers had something to say against GM's measures, not everyone agrees with the automaker. General Motors claims that the new strategy will reduce costs for the company in the long run, but some government officials are concerned that the jobs will be taken overseas. Some experts even claim that GM's decision is just a smoke screen, as this is not the first time GM does something like this. Ohio senators met with GM's CEO and are pushing her to move production to Lordstown, instead of shutting down operations.
