Israel Ban On New Gas, Diesel Cars Starting 2030
Oct 16, 2018
A report from Reuters says the country is planning to ban new gasoline and diesel-powered vehicle sales beginning in 2030, requiring all new vehicles to be either fully electric or powered by natural gas. Israel’s Energy Minister Yuval Steinitz expects the government to approve the plan by the end of the year. This plan is part of the Energy Ministry and is designed to steer the country away from fossil fuels. If the new initiative goes underway, Israel will join a list of nations that will prohibit the use of internal combustion in vehicles.
