General Motors open to negotiate for plants

After announcing the shutting off some of their U.S. plants and letting go 14,000 employees, GM has been widely criticized by experts and government officials, some within the auto industry agree with GM's move, indicating that in the future it could have a positive outcome for the automaker. Elon Musk even talked in an interview about the possibility to acquire some of the paralyzed GM plants. GM executives said at meetings with government officials that the company is willing to keep an open mind about the total closure of plants, although some experts say that's unlikely to happen.
