Chevrolet updates FNR patent

Oct 18, 2018
Chevrolet is updating its FNR on the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office after showcasing a couple of concepts that were shown previously in China. According to sources, GM applied to renew the FNR and Chevrolet FNR on October 8 and is listed in the USPTO as "New Application Processing.". FNR stands for Find New Roads. The concept debuted at Auto Shanghai 2015 and it was intended as an autonomous electric vehicle of the future. Currently, the patent hasn't been approved by the USPTO. The effort to renew the trademark suggests that Chevrolet intends to use it for other concepts that will come in the future.
