With the proliferation of eco-friendly technology and the overwhelming shift of the auto industry towards creating environmental solutions in the U.S.; California now wants to change its current bus fleet, to all-electric public transportation by 2040. The California Resources Board approved a new measure that will help reduce emissions from public transit. By 2020, California will have around 1,000 electric buses, and the target for the CARB is to have all 200 California public transit agencies operating with all-electric buses.
