California proposes a new solution to bullet train issue
Dec 5, 2018
According to the California secretary of states' office, a backer of the failed tax for gas repeal is looking to provide a new solution and shift some of the states billions of dollars to the maintenance of highway and constructions, and the new initiative would also terminate California's $77 billion bullet train project. However, even if the measure receives approval, it won't be so easy, as many government officials and unions are against the proposal claiming that California residents will be affected. The money that is destined to programs such as police, fire departments, social services, and health will take the impact.
