Bloodhound leaders talk about its funding shortage
Oct 16, 2018
The project founded in 2007 has seen its funding dwindle and has finally entered administration. Some team members said that the project needs an investment of £5 million to properly reach the speed goals of 500-600 mph on their South African 18km track. Furthermore, they also need some extra funding of around £15m if they want to break the previous record and the ultimate goal of £25m for a brand-new world record of 1000mph. Bloodhound insiders stated that they wouldn’t choose to be in this position. However, Bloodhound officials think that it would take them nearly a year to reach their goal.
