Hundreds of people were arrested after protesting and demanding the arrest of the two police officers that detained a Russian anti-corruption journalist. Last week, Ivan Golunov, a Russian anti-corruption journalist, was arrested and accused of drug dealing. Nevertheless, the government later freed him after declaring that Golunov wasn't guilty and that the drugs found in his possession had been planted. Now that Golunov is free, citizens in Moscow organized a rally to demand the immediate punishment of the two police officers that detained the journalist. However, the demonstration ended in hundreds of arrests, including Golunov's peers and opposition leader Alexei Navalny.
