Outlook accounts were hacked for months
Apr 15, 2019
Microsoft has stated that multiple accounts were hacked from January to March 2019 by compromised agent's credentials, gaining access to email addresses, folder, and email subject lines. The company says no email content was available for the hacker but that it is not clear what content was targeted. Personal information and passwords weren't stolen, but the company encourages all hacked users to change their passwords for their safety and privacy. Microsoft has restated its commitment to the users' privacy and their commitment to increase the site's safety. A recent hack had also fooled Microsoft's safety procedures by accessing unreleased software version to spread them later illegally.
