LG's new G8X coud have an in-display fingerprint sensor
Aug 13, 2019
New leaks from LG's upcoming G8X show the device could have an in-display fingerprint sensor, a first for the company's smartphones. The G8X predecessor, the G8, had three authentication systems including a facial recognition system, rear fingerprint reader and palm scanner, all which failed to break through in the competitive market of smartphones. There is also a smaller notch in the front of the screen, replacing the multiple sensors the G8 had; it is unknown if the new phone will have facial recognition. A less spec-full speaker system will also be present, ditching the LG's Crystal Sound OLED speaker that came in previous phones. LG could be including more advanced specs in the final product.
