Google blocks a hundred millions of spam email per day
Feb 8, 2019
Since the implementation of a new protection service called TensorFlow onto Google, the company reported they block 99.9% of the spam emails that contain unwanted or malware content. TensorFlow is an artificial neural network, which is an algorithm modeled after neuron in the brain and detects not only general spam emails but also image-based spam, which is 8% of the spam that is usually ignored by traditional text-analyzing filters and optical character recognition (OCR). Google and TensorFlow partnered to improve the service and offer better malware-filtering models that could work out of the Gmail site.
