A report has predicted that by 2040, most people will consume meat that does not come from slaughtered animals. In the past few years, several studies have been published explaining the consequences of consuming red meat and its environmental impact. Now; the global consultant AT Kearney interviewed several experts in the matter to determine what would be the future of red meat. Experts concluded that within the next couple of decades the consumption of beef coming from slaughtered animals would be significantly reduced thanks to replacements like plant-based meats and cultured meats. Moreover, the researchers estimated that by 2040, 35% of all meat consumption would be cultured, while 25% will be vegan replacements.
