NASA plans to return to the moon in the next five years if the budget is approved

Apr 5, 2019
NASA claims to be up for the challenge of returning to the moon race by 2024. At the end of March, US vice president Mike Pence announced that American astronauts would be returning to the moon in the next five years. However, just before Pence's announcement, NASA had submitted a budget with the plan of returning to the moon by 2028. After Pence's statement, NASA representatives have come forward by saying that if they're given enough funding, they will live up to the task and astronauts would be returning to the moon in the timeframe that Mike Pence has established.
