Kids in the U.S are missing the sleep, screen time, and exercise targets
Feb 5, 2019
It's no secret that children and teenagers in the U.S. spend too much time looking at screens and not enough time exercising, but a new study shows that the problem is bigger than we thought. The study showed that only 3% of girls and 7% of boys spent their time optimal time doing physical activity or sleeping and that the amount of time they sleep every day decreases as they get older. The researchers stated that the lack of proper sleep and physical activity, in addition to too much time looking at a screen increases the chances of gaining weight, which in turn makes it harder for them to get enough sleep.
