In the United States alone, around one in every eight women have breast cancer. To help women, researchers started looking into how the food we eat impacts the chances of getting this disease, and if red meat was beneficial or counterproductive when it came to our health. Now, scientists have published their findings in the International Journal of Cancer, where they indicated that women who eat a lot of red meat face 23% higher chance of getting breast cancer. Moreover, researchers assure that if we substitute red meat for chicken, the risks will be reduced by 15%.
