Delta CEO believes that confidence in 737 Max might be hard to recover
Jun 12, 2019
Delta CEO Ed Bastian has stated that Boeing and the airline industry have a long way to go if they want to regain consumer's trust regarding the 737 Max. The Max has been grounded since mid-March after a deadly crash in Ethiopia five months after the first fatal crash in Indonesia; airlines have continued to extend flight cancellations since they don't know when the aircraft will return to service. Bastian added that Boeing is a fantastic company that is working hard to fix the issues with the plane. Delta doesn't have any Max planes in its fleet, which has helped the company stay afloat during this time of uncertainty, while other airline stocks have dropped.
